lost ax head - Diamond Notch

Hi all. I think the head to my ax may have fallen out of my pack when I stopped at the Diamond Notch intersection.

I went to the falls to take some pictures, and I think It may have fallen on the ground. Either that or it's at the parking area (snow plow turnaround) at the end of Spruceton road, I parked near the western side of that lot and it may have fallen out when putting my pack in the trunk.

It is a tomahawk style head, with a pick on one side. It was in it's leather sheath. I still have the ax handle but if anyone finds the head I would much appreciate getting in touch with me and some way to get it back.

Why are you hiking with an axe?

chop up fire wood. we were staying at the John Rob lean to.

Sorry to hear that you lost it. Hopefully, someone finds it and returns it to you. You might want to post this on the Facebook Catskill Mountaineer page.

Pretty heavy tool to be hiking with. But, you are the one carrying it, so who am I to say anything.

Love the John Rob Lean to. My favorite.
