Hiker Injured on North Mountain (Oct 31)

Wilderness Rescue in Town of Hunter in Greene County:
On Oct. 31 at 2:25 p.m., Forest Ranger Dawson responded to a call for a hiker with a knee injury below North Point. Ranger Dawson reached the 57-year-old at Artist Rock and assisted the hiker back to North South Lake Campground. Resources were clear at 3:30 p.m.
North Point is just south of North Mountain summit. North Mountain is just north of North-South Lake. What the DEC calls Artist Rock is actual Bear's Den. Bear's Den is located between North Point and North-South Lake.
