I was hikeing near hunter mtn a couple weeks ago on the trail on rt 214 and i ran into a bow hunter, he told me you can hunt on blue and red marked trails is this true?
Im also looking for some good spots around greene and ulster county to go deer hunting if anyone has any suggestions.

Yes, you can hunt from a trail. But, it is not a good idea. You make other people nervous. Second, most animals stay away from the trails, so it is a bad place to hunt.

There are a lot of deer this year. But, I cannot tell you a good location where you are likely to find them.

unfortunately greene is my only option this year, i mite be able to go to hancock,ny but not sure. It's my first year hunting and i got shut out for a doe tag so im not really expecting to get anything but im gonna try.
