Bear's Den gets it's name from a bear that over-wintered there once in the 1800's. I have never explored some of the crevices. Not sure what I would find. Great pictures Rich.

I noticed this the other day. You should see how google earth represents it in 3d. I'm guessing there is an error in the topo information that all these map programs rely on for a very small area resulting in the vortex.

It is an odd anomaly on the topo maps. Not sure how it ever got there.

well thats a bit of a let down, was hoping it was some massive cave to explore
