Just wanted to let folks know that the current issue of "Popular Photography" magazine (October) features my article on the Adirondack State Park. If anyone is familiar with the major landscape/nature photography publications you'll know that most of the photographs come from the Western US - with perhaps a token fall foliage image thrown in from the East. It's my hope that the article introduces the Park to a wider audience.
I saw the magazine on a newsstand yesterday, so if you're walking by the magazine rack, take a look - it's page 48 and following

ah, wouldn't you know it, I just canceled my Nook subscription to this...but I think this issue is in my Library so I'll check it out. Oh and congrats! Nice to see local/regional attention on of the big photog publications.

Chris, great article. I did not know that the Adirondack's are larger than all those other NP combined. The photograph on page 51 from Mt.Van Hoevenberg is spectacular. I think it really showcases how the Adirondack's rival the wildernesses elsewhere in the country where there are no signs of human existence.

Thanks - glad you enjoyed the article. I completely agree with your sentiments. Hopefully more people will come to appreciate this beautiful park.
