These waterfalls are located on NYS Land. But, to get to them you need to access State Land from private land. Most people access it from the Winter Clove Inn property (www.winterclove.com). If you need a place to stay, this is a great place to stay overnight. Upon arriving, go inside the Inn to the desk and ask for permission. They will provide you with a written map to led you from their property to NYS Land. Follow the instructions carefully. There are a lot of twist and turns to get to the trail to Winter Clove. It is a very nice and easy trail. Along the way you will also get the opportunite to see some rare trees in the Catskill Mountains. There is also a side trail that can take you to North Point and North Mountain. The trail ends at Winter Clove Falls. Just before you get to Winter Clove Falls there is a series of waterfalls on the left. Climbing up the bank to visit these waterfalls is difficult

Once at Winter Clove Falls, there is a trail that can take you to the top of the falls. Be careful near the top. The trail runs very close to the edge. You also need to be careful once on top of the falls. It is slippery. There is also a less travelled trail on the right side the Winter Clove Falls. The clove below the Winter Clove Falls is steep and dangerous, so you need to be very careful.
